Shortlisted for Energy And Natural Resources Team of the Year
We were awarded runner up in energy and natural resources team of the year at the legal business awards 2014, where they said the following about us:

This respected energy boutique played a key role in obtaining planning permission for EDF on a unique facility, a ‘dry fuel store' for the storage of nuclear fuel at Sizewell B nuclear power station. Work included directing EDF’s environmental and technical team and drafting the application to the secretary of state.

We were awarded third place in the prestigious Lawyer Awards 2013 for 'Boutique Firm of the Year' where they said the following about us:

'In 2012, Zyda Law continued its work in nuclear planning and environmental law. Its expertise led to it advising EDF Energy in its response to the Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan. Work included preparing a planning application for an Emergency Response Centre to provide an operational safety line in the event of a natural disaster and a review of EU nuclear ‘stress tests’. It also included a public consultation and advising EDF on the Office for Nuclear Regulation's report into the Fukushima disaster. Zyda's expertise has driven work on the decommissioning of the Dounreay nuclear power plant, the most extensive nuclear development proposals ever in the UK. The boutique advised on the application for planning permission for the retrieval of nuclear waste and remediation of former nuclear disposal facilities, for development of a nuclear waste store and for the demolition of nuclear buildings. Zyda's turnover doubled during 2012.'

We were runner up in the Legal Business Awards 2012 for ‘Energy and Natural Resources Team of the Year’. The following was said about Zyda Law:
 

'Acting for EDF Energy, this Nantwich-based boutique successfully obtained a section 36 approval from the Department of Energy and Climate Change and secured planning permission for the construction and operation of a dry fuel store at the Sizewell B nuclear power station.
