Zyda Law LLP's intellectual property case load and reputation is continuing to grow and will be further enhanced by instructions from BMG to seek trademark registration for its 'GP1 Beyond the Super Car Club' – as nationally advertised.
The client's various applications to register trade marks with the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) have been met with hostility and a clear intent to oppose. The 'gloves are off' too, the opponent (FOM1) having appointed intellectual property lawyers to prepare IPO and European trade mark applications and, an opposition strategy.
Our experience of IP matters (copyright, patents and trade marks), which extends to more than a decade, has informed our advice and lead to the early formulation of an application strategy which seeks to, as far as possible, identify and remove risk.
